We are confident that our bread is among the best you will ever taste. That’s an easy claim to make… but we can back it up. Read on…

  • Let’s start with experience. The Bread Man himself has been active in the baking industry for 20 years. He’s made a LOT of bread over the course of those years, and that experience can be tasted in every bite of a Bread Head loaf. Our ‘other baker’, shop manager Miss G, has been with the company for two years and has proven a very capable protege for the Bread Man.
  • Passion. We pride ourselves on loving what we do and how we do it. The Bread Man and Miss G apply an offbeat, innovative creativity to decidedly ‘old school’, hands on techniques to produce unique, delicious products you won’t find anywhere else.
  • Quality ingredients. Just a few of the things we bake with: whole wheat flour, rye flour, polenta, oats, milk, eggs, olive oil, butter, brown sugar, raw sugar and cocoa powder. In all cases, we use the absolute best quality ingredients we can find. If something sub-par shows up in our kitchen, it’s returned to the supplier it came from because we won’t use it. Period.
  • No crap. A further extension of ‘quality ingredients’. All of our made-from-scratch baked goods contain no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Our goods are trans-fat free. The flour we use is unbleached and unbromated. We do not use hydrogenated oils. If you have a question about what is in a product, just ask! We are happy to tell you what’s in there because we have nothing to hide!
