The Low Down

Bread Head Bakery began life as a small, home-based bakery supplying artisan breads to gourmet markets for retail sale.

In June 2008, the Bread Head took the leap and opened his first retail location in Dover, Ohio. The shop was tiny, about 400 sq ft total, with a sales area only about 8 x 6 feet. Despite the small dimensions, the offerings included artisan breads, muffins, scones, cookies, brownies, creme brulee, cheesecakes, baklava, cupcakes and more.

Since the shop was bursting at the seams, the Bread Head relocated to a bigger location just around the corner. In March 2009, the all new Bread Head Bakery & Coffee Shop opened with an expanded floor plan and a greatly expanded menu.

In addition to the whole grain, all-natural baked goods that made Bread Head a local destination, the expanded shop now offers gourmet coffees and espresso drinks, a full bistro menu and catering services.
